How many recalls were there in 2017 for USDA products?
In 2017, there was a total of 131 recalls.
100 of these recalls were Class I, which means there is reasonable probability that eating the food will cause health problems or death.
22 recalls were Class II. A Class II recall means there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from eating the food.
9 recalls were Class III. These involve situations in which eating the food will not cause adverse health consequences.
