Every year SCS is audited by the third-party vendor, American Institute of Baking (AIB). This score is important because it gives current and prospective customers a glimpse at how our facility is managed and operated overall.

The audit score is a sum of five different category inspections;

  1. Operational Methods & Personnel Practices
  2. Maintenance for Food Safety
  3. Cleaning Practices
  4. Integrated Pest Management
  5. Adequacy of Prerequisite Programs & Food Safety Programs

Each category has a possible score of 200 points for a total of 1000 possible points. Facilities scoring in the top 25% of all scores for their business industry are awarded a “Recognition of High Achievement” or “Superior”.

We are committed to improving our audit score every year. In 2017, we received a score of 965. In 2018, we increased our previous score by ten points, giving us a new facility grade of 975.

We hope our continuous improvement provides our customers peace of mind knowing their product is in “superior” hands.
